Facebook

What Facebook data we use

When you sign in to HootBoard with Facebook, we receive your name and the email address on your Facebook account. We use this only to create and sign in to your HootBoard account. We never post on your behalf, and we do not sell or share this data with third parties.

Remove HootBoard from Facebook

1. Open Facebook and go to Settings.
2. Go to Apps and websites.
3. Find HootBoard and select Remove.

This stops HootBoard from receiving your Facebook data. To delete the data we already hold, see Request deletion of your data below.

Instagram

What Instagram data we use

When you connect an Instagram account to HootBoard, we receive your Instagram account ID, username, an access token, and the posts (images, videos and captions) you choose to show on your boards and kiosks. We use this data only to display your Instagram content on HootBoard. We do not sell it or share it with third parties.

Disconnect Instagram from HootBoard

1. Sign in to HootBoard.
2. Open the Instagram integration.
3. Select Disconnect.

Disconnecting stops syncing right away and removes your Instagram posts from HootBoard. We then delete the access token and synced content.

Remove HootBoard's access in Facebook

1. Open Facebook and go to Settings.
2. Go to Business integrations.
3. Find HootBoard and select Remove.

Once access is removed, HootBoard can no longer fetch content from your Instagram account.

Request deletion of your data

To have us delete the Facebook or Instagram data we hold about you, email support@hootboard.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address on your HootBoard account and, for Instagram, your Instagram username.

We will confirm your request and delete the data, including any stored tokens and cached posts. We will email you once it is done.
